General Ross and the military, unable to combat the Metal Master's abilities, turn to Bruce Banner for help. However, the Metal Master easily overpowers the Hulk by using his control over metal to bind and restrain him.
Desperate to defeat the Metal Master, Banner and Rick Jones enlist the help of the Teen Brigade, a group of amateur radio enthusiasts led by Rick. They develop a plan to use non-metallic weapons and tactics to counter the Metal Master's abilities. In a climactic battle, the Hulk manages to outsmart the Metal Master, using a wooden boomerang to knock him out and break his control over metal objects. The Metal Master is ultimately defeated and forced to flee Earth.
