Ant-Man, determined to rescue his partner, begins tracking down Egghead's hideout. Along the way, he uncovers the villain’s true motives: Egghead plans to use the Wasp as bait in an elaborate death trap, hoping to destroy Ant-Man once and for all.

In a dramatic showdown, Ant-Man manages to outwit Egghead's traps and technological tricks. Together, the duo confronts Egghead, whose arrogance proves to be his downfall once again.

Overview:

Tales to Astonish #46, published in August 1963, is a comic book issue written by Stan Lee and Larry Lieber, with artwork by Don Heck. This issue features Ant-Man and the Wasp battling against Cyclops, a giant alien creature from another world, who poses a major threat to Earth.

Plot Summary:

The story begins with an alien invasion, as Cyclops, a towering creature with a single eye capable of emitting devastating energy blasts, arrives on Earth. The alien hails from a distant planet and has been sent to Earth by his people with the mission of conquering it. Cyclops’ immense size and strength make him nearly unstoppable, and he quickly begins his rampage, leaving destruction in his wake.

Ant-Man and the Wasp are called into action when the city is thrown into panic by Cyclops' arrival. Realizing the severity of the threat, Henry Pym and Janet van Dyne must work together to find a way to stop the enormous creature. Their size-changing abilities seem insignificant against the sheer scale of the alien invader.

As Cyclops continues his destructive path, Ant-Man and the Wasp investigate the alien's origins, hoping to find a weakness. They discover that Cyclops is not acting on his own, but rather under the control of a superior alien race, who is watching the Earth from space, waiting to see if their agent can subdue the planet.

Using his scientific knowledge, Ant-Man devises a plan to target Cyclops’ control mechanism. Shrinking down to microscopic size, Ant-Man infiltrates the alien's body and locates the device controlling his actions. Meanwhile, the Wasp distracts Cyclops, using her agility and flight to keep him occupied.

In a climactic battle, Ant-Man manages to disable the control device, freeing Cyclops from his masters’ influence. With the alien invader no longer a threat, Cyclops, confused and disoriented, retreats from Earth, leaving the planet safe once again.

The issue ends with Ant-Man and the Wasp victorious, having saved the city from certain destruction, while reflecting on the scale of the threats they might continue to face from beyond the stars.
